The Blog is Back!

I had to take a break from the blog and spend some time working on a few new projects coming soon for 2009-2010! Our new website will defintely have a new look and feel to it. Nothing Ordinary about it! This year Houston wedding vendors will have a cost effective solution to advertise on a site that will be ever changing and growing. More coming soon!

Here is a preview of our new slideshow: YouTube Preview Image

As we have concentrated on our clients since the beginning of our business, we have found providing a great service, treat people with respect, and make sure the client is first and foremost the most important part of any business then you will see the economy works for you as more and more clients are going old school. (yeah, now my age is showing!) What I mean by old school is where client satisfaction and service are the number one reason for a successful business.

We have officially booked our 24th wedding with a few in 2010 including heading to the French Quarter this year for a wedding that will definitely be an experience. We have worked hard to make sure our clients are provided with our passion and they have made sure we are reffered time and time again. To all of our clients, we thank you!

The shoot fell right into place with their personalities. These two have such a great look for the camera and it allowed me to produced some of my specialty style looks with ease. Katina TTD

Well, got a hold of a friend of mine (Andre), and we got to talkin about whats been up at his gym

if you need to get result then call him immediately!

and conversation led to him getting in touch with Katina and then her going to Jill’s Fashion and Bridal of League City and trying on a wedding dress (We love Diana and Danielle), they have supplied us with so many dresses and never once thought twice (so everyone better go there to get all of your attire!), and Katina grabbed her dress and we just missed each other. We scheduled a blind TTD session for the next day . Meeting Katina was really cool since she was up for whatever I was about to put her through. We started of in the gym and she worked out for a bit and then we headed over to Julie and Bill’s house. Talk about cool!!!Harley Davidson is the standard there (sorry if we hurt anyones feelings but their Harley’s flat out ROCK! We were not only amazed by the pool but the shooting areas available in someone’s backyard. So in the pool we went (yes, I love water!), and then around the yard as we managed to beat the heat for a bit until I had to cut out. Katina you are a great sport and thanks for jumping in and doing a great job!

True Love TTD

Yolanda and John, (Rule number one John, always put the women first!), on the hand we know in our minds who the boss really is them! oh I meant us. hahaha), But on a serious note you guys were great and fun to work with. We wish you many years of extreme happiness and a bond that will stand the tests of time. It is a blessing to find someone you can share everything with. We wish you two the best of the best!

Well they say everyone has a twin in the world and I have finally run in to mine! It seems as though from music to being goofy and energetic we are two peas in pod. We are so much alike it is almost scary! He is a great person and full of energy and most of his in love for his wife reflects the love I have for my wife. True and dedicated!

John Whitlock ofLandscape Picturesque832.256.5244. He knows his stuff as I learned that calling a leaf a leaf is not the way to do it since the leaf was really an “Oak Leaf”. (hahaha, yes John I had to throw that one in there).

We have been very fortunate to have couples that are fun and just awsome to work with which makes for beautiful images. As most you know my style differs in this industry as times change the typical is not a choice for me or my clients. So here is why we differ from eveyone else…

Mo’s TTD Picks

Trash the Dress – also known as “TTD” has been an enjoyable experience in shooting and editing allowing me to try new ways to shoot. And we are not even close to being done yet!

Creating new styles and techniques for images without losing the essence of the image is not always easy. I will pick my favs and then perform some edits but it is also cool to see what the Brides and Models see in their shoot. I ask them to pick their favs and then I do edits on their choices and here is a Mo’s Picks.

Surfs Up!

As “Trash the Dress” gets more popularity we keep raising the bar! Check us out Saturday, June 14th by Hard Rock Cafe starting at 5:30 pm with an after party follwing our live shoot to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation!

The temp was in the high 80s and salt water drying out our skin followed by a quick burn. This may sound as though you could not have fun but we proved that to be wrong! Paula grabbed her board and Bridal dress (from Jill’s Fashion and Bridal in League City, TX) and  yes it is not everyday you see a Bridal dress as appropiate attire for surfing but Paula wore it well. That girl got into it in no time at all after a quick mishap with the zipper breaking and a few modifications to her dress by her personal designer and Photographer (ME)! We gave her a new style by grabbing a knife from a cool surfer dude with an RV. We then tore in to the dress giving her a bit more room to catch a wave. (she actually caught several).

OK, here come the part where I thought I had a couple of waves under control and then they proved me wroong with my camera in hand! Yes, I was in the water with her. Get used to it because it is what makes me the photographer I am and the photogrpaher I will always be. The waves hit and to keep my camera from getting wet I hopped up as the waved passed but I did not see the second coming and it took me under the water face and all but as I have told my arm and hand many times…

Let me drown just save the camera and this time it proved once again that I meant nothing as it held the camera above the water. A quick dry off and we were back shooting. Gotta love Canon!

So enough about me and on with the show. This is what is all about…

Get the shot no matter what is thrown in your way. Otherwise it would be another typical shot!

Paula, thank you and you rock! Not sure I can handle any sun tomorrow but I am looking forward to another session very soon if your up for it! You guys leave comments for Paula and give her some shouts she deserves it!

Mo in Houston

Today was a slow starter but when the camera started clickin’ Mo and I took it to the streets of Downtown Houston from the Metro Rail to Bayou Place. Todays session was a break from “Trash the Dress” (ok, so it was only for a day). Well, as all of you already know and if not you will, “Trash the Dress” is going strong and it seems some people emphasized to me that TTD was done a year ago or even two years ago and they are right. We were not the first nor did we claim to be but, The hype was short and soon forgotten. I believe that the time has to be right and it all has to fall in place professionally. I was told everyone is dong it but yet I have seen no one step up and take charge. I did and we have given it new life from Galveston to Houston. So keep watch for our TV commercial airing in June and the launch of “trashedit.com” and ”ididitforlove.com” soon! And don’t miss “The 1st Annual Trash the Dress Event”

Coming soon “Trash the Dress” Texas Tour!

Anyway on with the show…

Can anyone say I want some MO! (hahahaha)

We had the opportunity to visit with Ciria and Dan owners of Kemah Gardens.

Kemah Gardens will blow you away with a modern style Bed & Breakfast (although I feel weddings will be their calling in the very near future). This venue has much to offer from inside to outside. I belive it is on 5 acres and serenity is taken to a whole new level here. Do not hesitate to contact Kemah Gardens and book before all availability is gone! Here is their info and website:
